Are all courses certified?

All Academy of Aviation students will receive their training certificate upon successful completion of their chosen course and all certificates are Industry recognised.

What are the entry requirements?

Min. Age – 18yrs old
Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification

Proficient level of written and spoken English

Do I need previous experience?

No, just your enthusiasm.

Is the course provided in any other location?

No, our training centre is located at the Carlton Hotel, Dublin Airport.

HOW TO BOOK

How do I book a place?

You can secure a place on our courses online by clicking on the ”Enrol Now” button and then ‘Register’ on your course of choice. 

Once your booking deposit has been paid, you will get an email confirming your place on your chosen course.

I am almost ready to book, but have some questions about my course. What should I do?

Just contact us or phone our head office on 01 837 0100.  We will be happy to answer any question you have.

How will I know if my booking is confirmed?

If you register and pay your booking deposit using our new online booking facility you will receive a confirmation email immediately.

You will also receive reminder emails nearer the course commencement date.

 

If you book over the phone, upon receipt of your booking form, we will contact you immediately regarding confirmation and payment details.

ATTENDING A COURSE

Where are the courses held?

All AOA courses are delivered in the Carlton Hotel, Dublin Airport.

The Carlton Hotel offers competitive rates to all AOA students, please email info.dublin@carlton.ie quoting AOA01 or call 01 8667500 to speak with reservations.

What time does training begin at?

Our courses begin at 9.30 each morning and end at 3.30pm each evening.

What do I need to bring?

We provide tea/coffee/water refreshments and course materials. If you need to bring anything else with you, our team will let you know when you make your booking.

What should I wear during the course?

  • Passenger Services Course – Dark coloured suit is recommended however smart/casual attire must be worn as potential employers may pop in as invited guest speakers. Always remember, you only get one chance to make a first impression.
  • Cabin Crew Course – Please wear a dark coloured suit with white or pale blue shirt. You will be provided with an AOA scarf (female) or tie (male) on the first day of your course.

What age do I have to be?

Minimum of 18 years old

How much is the training course?

Passenger Services – €325 (Deposit €75)
Cabin Crew – €395 (Deposit €95)
Flight Dispatch – €325 (Deposit €75)

Do I pay a deposit?

Yes. Cabin Crew – €95, Passenger Services – €75, Flight Dispatch – €75
Once your Registration Fee/Deposit has been paid your place is confirmed. You must pay the balance no later than 1 week prior to commencement of your course.

A reminder email will be sent containing a link to the payment page for your convenience.

Is the Training Course difficult to pass? 

AOA trainees have a 97% pass rate

How long is the Training Course?

Passenger Services – 4 Days
Cabin Crew – 3 Days
Flight Dispatch – 3 Days

Where do I stay during the course?

The Carlton Hotel offers competitive rates to all AOA students, please email info.dublin@carlton.ie quoting AOA01 or call 01 8667500 to speak with reservations. 

Alternatively there are numerous competitively priced Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the Santry and Swords areas both of which have public transport to the Carlton Hotel.

If I pass the course, am I guaranteed a job? 

Completion of this course does not guarantee employment, but will considerably enhance your chances of selection.
